Older Images from the archives 2007-2008

Aug. 13th 2007, M8 @F6 600mm Ha 10 minutes exposure time.
Framing was off as I was tweaking around with autoguiding settings.

Moon July 24 2007, C11 @1400mm F.L.

Having broken bones in my ankle, leg and wrist and relegated to bed, I have missed some opportune nights to image. Being bored I decided to dig up some of my old images and post them. These are from 2007 & 2008 when I first started with astroimaging. These images also show the infancy of my processing skills. I'm going to resurrect the original sub exposures and reprocess from scratch in the near future.

June 5th 2007, M5 15x30 second exposures.

May 24th 2007, M13 1x1 binning 30 second exposure.

May 24th 2007, M13 2x2 binning 30 second exposure.
(My first post processed image with the -H9)

Sept. 12th 2007, NGC 7331 in Pegasus. My first galaxy image. Stack of 10x30sec. exposures with Orion 100mm @F6 achromatic.  The light pollution gradient is clearly evident as I was imaging over my neighbors back yard which had security lights on all night.

NGC7320 (Stephan's Quintet) 11x120 sec. exposures. F.O.V. is 51'x38'. Taken the same evening as NGC7331 above.

Oct. 18th 2008, Both NGC7331 and NGC7320 region.

Sept. 29th 2007, M76 in Perseus.

Oct 23rd 2008, NGC7635 (The Bubble Nebula) My first Narrowband imaging attempt. Exposures: Lum. Ha 15x2min., (R) Ha 15x2min, (G) OIII 15x2min, (B) Sulfur 15x2min. Scope: William Optics Zenithstar II 80mm ED @f6.8 (545mm)

Bubble nebula cropped and tweaked.

In Ha light.

Oct 27th 2008, NGC884 and NGC869 (Double Cluster in Perseus) Exposures: Lum. IDAS 5x3min., (R) 5x3min, (G) 5x3min, (B) 5x3min. Scope: William Optics Zenithstar II 80mm ED @f6.8 (545mm)
