NGC 6951 is an active (Seyfert type Sy2) galaxy in Cepheus.
Light pollution and edge gradients were not corrected to show the Integrated flux nebula evident in the image.
Magnitude: 11.9
Spiral classification: SAB(rs)bc.
Apparent Size: 3.9' x 3.2'
Distance: 33 +/-8 Mpc
Physical size: 75 Kly.
Date acquired: October 20, 2012

Scope: Astrotech AT10RC @ F8 (2000mm)
Mount: Losmandy Titan w/Gemini-II
Filters: Astronomik Clear, R, G & B type 2c, in combination with Idas light pollution suppression.
Exposures: Lum= 132 minutes, R,G,B = 66 minutes each.
Acquired, calibrated, stacked (avg) in Astroart 5
Sigmoid Brightness scaling in AIP4Win to Luminance layer.
